My reflection begins with these words:
"This is what the LORD says: The wise man must not boast in his wisdom; the strong man must not boast in his strength, the wealthy man must not boast in his wealth. 24. But the one who boast should boast in this, that he understands and knows Me_that I am Yahweh, showing faithful, love, justice, and righteousness on the earth, for I delight in these things. This is the LORD's declaration.
I love this. I love the truth about the heart of God that it reveals. When I see Proverbs 31:20, I see a woman imitating God (Ephesians 5:1) and expressing His heart to those who are poor and needy.
Before we aim to carry out God's work in our day, we should seek to understand His heart. I'm aiming to work from a posture of communicating God's heart to those I love and serve.
May we spend time God's Word, hear His heart, and commune with Him as well as others based on that truth.
