"She does him good and not evil all the days of her life."
Everything about this verse makes a clear distinction that this woman truly fears the LORD. Holiness is clearly her pursuit.
"Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord" (Hebrews 12:14)
This is the kind of woman whose marriage is an extension of her relationship with God. Insert Philippians 2:13 because how can any woman do good and not evil unless she is empowered by God's Holy Spirit.
"...for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure." (Philippians 2:13).
With all this in mind, perhaps this is a good time for self-examination whether you are single or married.
If you are single:
Are you truly devoted to living your life according to the Word of God?
If you are married:
Are you as committed as you once were to the will and work of God in you and others?
Do you see room for growth?
Let's reach for the bar together by devoting ourselves to prayer and imitating Jesus. Of course we have to study His Word for us to follow Him effectively, which book of the Bible will you commit to studying this week?
