I've been reading Ecclesiastes 11 for the past few days. I'm reminded of something my Nana use to always tell me...
"Don't put all your eggs in one basket."
Verse six of chapter eleven says, "In the morning sow your seed, and at evening do not let your hand rest, because you don't know which will succeed, whether one or the other, or if both of them will be equally good."
Working to the glory of God is a sweet privilege and partnership. Whatever ministry, vocation, etc. we are called to is a blessed pursuit given by the KING of Glory Himself.
Let us not be slothful or overly cautious but instead diligent and profitable.
"He who watches the wind [waiting for the conditions to be perfect] will not sow [seed], and he who looks at the clouds will not reap [a harvest].
"Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord." (1 Corinthians 15:58)
